Sparking imagination and relatability: the WHIMSICAL gift box
As a designer, my goal was clear: to create a gift box that would transcend traditional expectations. Taking inspiration from the dollhouses of my childhood, I designed the ultimate gift box for our real estate clients. I envisioned a box that would be more than just a vessel for the contents inside; it would become a keepsake that bridged the gap between childhood innocence and appreciation for home design. In prioritizing intrigue, relatability, and the timeless joy of childhood imagination, our gift box captured the essence of home.
This 2D project was composed in Adobe Illustrator. The design focuses on incorporating universal illustrations and icons for easy recognition. By strategically utilizing negative space, I was able to direct the viewer's attention and convey the flow of the "home". Fill was applied sparingly to introduce a sense of texture and weight to the various components depicted in the design.
